We were visiting friends in Glen Nevis and having tea in their garden, when I noticed the wall, plants and tree. Since I had a 5×4 camera with me (doesn’t everyone carry one around on visits?) I set it up. The camera position was quite low, to have the wall obscure some of the extraneous detail behind it, and thereby emphasise the high ground behind.
One thing I do watch out for, when there are clouds, is how fast they are moving and whereabouts in the image they are. If possible when they are moving I try to pick the best position knowing that it won’t be repeated.
